The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by tracing and analyzing relevant scientific articles from various trusted sources. The results of the study show that the application of the Discovery Learning model consistently can improve students' numeracy skills. This model encourages students to actively build their own understanding, make connections between mathematical ideas, and foster deep and lasting understanding. In addition, numeracy learning that is fun and meaningful has proven to be more interesting for students and supports optimal numeracy skills. Thus, Discovery Learning is recommended as an alternative learning model that is effective in strengthening numeracy literacy at various levels of education.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 AB-JME: Al-Bahjah Journal of Mathematics Educationhttps://jurnal.staialbahjah.ac.id/index.php/abjme/article/view/539Analisis Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa pada Materi Teorema Pythagoras Spesifik Kebudayaan Adat Melayu Kepulauan Riau 2025-04-19T08:52:01+00:00Friska Yanti Simanjuntakfriskayanti447@gmail.comAsmaul Husna asmaul@fkip.unrika.ac.idNailul Himmi Hasibuannailulhimmi@fkip.unrika.ac.id
This research aims to determine and analyze the mathematical concept comprehension abilities of eighth-grade junior high school students on the topic of the Pythagorean Theorem, as well as to foster a sense of nationalism among students towards the Malay cultural heritage of the Riau Archipelago. The method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study are 30 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 3 Batam in the 2024/2025 academic year. The test instrument used in this research consists of 3 essay questions on the Pythagorean Theorem material specific to the Malay cultural customs of the Riau Archipelago. The keywords in this article are "mathematical concept understanding ability and the Pythagorean theorem." The research results show that the mathematical concept comprehension ability of eighth-grade students at SMP N 3 Batam regarding the Pythagorean Theorem material, specifically within the context of the Malay culture of the Riau Archipelago, is still categorized as low with a percentage of 39, 45%. The results of this research are expected to assist other researchers and educators in providing everyday problem examples related to the Pythagorean Theorem material.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 AB-JME: Al-Bahjah Journal of Mathematics Educationhttps://jurnal.staialbahjah.ac.id/index.php/abjme/article/view/191Sistematic Literature Review (SLR): Desain E-Modul Berbasis Etnomatematika Pada Materi Matriks 2024-11-18T05:42:58+00:00Ranita Ranitarhanitha123@gmail.comAs Ellyasellystkip23@gmail.comKhathibul Umam Zaid Nugrohonugrohoumam@gmail.com
This study aims to identify and systematically analyze ethnomathematics-based E-Module learning on matrix material. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection and analysis carried out using the SLR method are formulating research problems, literature search, screening inclusion and exclusion criteria, quality assessment, data collection, analyzing data and describing studies. The use of the SLR method is carried out to review and identify journal articles systematically, each process of which follows predetermined steps. Of the 40 articles used, there were only 5 articles that were relevant to this research and explained the need for ethnomathematics-based E-Module teaching materials on matrix materials that can be used as an effort to know and understand students' ability to understand basic mathematical concepts and be able to implement technology in each learning process. So that the use of ethnomathematics-based E-Modules on matrix material is able to have a positive influence on the learning process of students, because it is able to increase understanding, involvement, and relevance of mathematical concepts to everyday life and student culture.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 AB-JME: Al-Bahjah Journal of Mathematics Educationhttps://jurnal.staialbahjah.ac.id/index.php/abjme/article/view/541Efektivitas Model Problem Based Learning dan Project Based Learning Berbantuan GeoGebra Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah2025-04-22T03:22:22+00:00Aulia Novia Rohmanaaulianovia347@gmail.comAli Shodiqinaulianovia347@gmail.comDina Prasetyowatiaulianovia347@gmail.com

This study is an experimental study that aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PJBL) models assisted by GeoGebra on students' problem-solving abilities in the Two-Variable Linear Inequality System material at SMA Negeri 1 Jepara. The population in this study were all grade X students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research sample consisted of three classes, namely class X-1 as experimental group 2 (PJBL), X-2 as experimental group 1 (PBL), and X-3 as the control group (conventional learning). Data collection techniques used problem-solving ability tests, student activity observation sheets, and documentation. The results of the study showed that: (1) there was a significant difference in problem-solving abilities between the three learning models used; (2) the problem-solving abilities of students using the PBL model were higher than conventional learning; (3) the problem-solving abilities of students with the PJBL model were also higher than conventional learning; (4) there was no significant difference between the problem-solving abilities of students using the PBL and PJBL models; (5) Student activity contributes to problem solving ability by 21.2% in the PBL model and 56.3% in the PJBL model. This finding shows that both the PBL model and the GeoGebra-assisted PJBL are effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities, with a greater influence of activity in the PJBL model.

2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 AB-JME: Al-Bahjah Journal of Mathematics Educationhttps://jurnal.staialbahjah.ac.id/index.php/abjme/article/view/540Efektivitas Model PBL dan Discovery Learning Berbantuan Wolfram Mathematica Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi Siswa 2025-04-22T03:22:22+00:00Chintya Dewi Prawitasurichintyadewi1515@gmail.comAli Shodiqinchintyadewi1515@gmail.comDina Prasetyowatichintyadewi1515@gmail.com
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Discovery Learning (DL) learning models assisted by Wolfram Mathematica in improving students' numeracy literacy skills in the material of Relations and Functions.
