Publication Ethics AB-JOIEC: Al-Bahjah Journal of Islamic Economics, published by the Al-Bahjah Islamic College (STAI) Cirebon, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. The following statement details the principles of ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the article publication process: authors, editors-in-chief, editorial board, peer reviewers, and publisher. These provisions refer to the Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors from the Committee on Publication Ethics.
Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines Publishing articles through the peer-review mechanism at AB-JOIEC is an important step in building a credible and respected network of knowledge. The quality of this process reflects the quality of the scientific work of the authors and their institutions. Articles that have passed the peer-review process strengthen and represent the scientific method, thus requiring clear ethical standards for authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and the academic community. As the publisher, STAI Al-Bahjah Cirebon holds full responsibility for every stage of publication. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprints, or other commercial revenue does not influence editorial decisions. STAI Al-Bahjah Cirebon, together with the Editorial Board, will also facilitate communication with other journals or publishers when necessary.
Publication Decisions AB-JOIEC editors decide which manuscripts are suitable for publication, considering the validity of the work and its relevance to readers and researchers. In making decisions, editors adhere to editorial board policies and applicable legal requirements, such as copyright protection, anti-plagiarism, and defamation. Discussions with other editors or reviewers may be conducted to support decision-making.
Fairness Manuscripts are evaluated purely on their scientific substance without regard to the race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political views of the authors.
Confidentiality Editors and editorial staff are required to maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and may only share information with the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher when necessary.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Unpublished information or data obtained from a manuscript must not be used by the editor for personal research without the express written consent of the author.
Reviewer Responsibilities Role in Editorial Decisions Peer reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the manuscript.
Timeliness Any reviewer who feels incompetent or unable to review the research in a timely manner should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality Any manuscript received is confidential and must not be shared or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
Objectivity Reviews are conducted objectively; personal criticism is discouraged. Opinions should be expressed clearly with supporting argume
Acknowledgment of Sources Reviewers should cite relevant uncited references and notify the editor of any substantial similarity in other work.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Confidential information obtained during the peer review process must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should refrain from reviewing manuscripts if they have a conflict of interest with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the research.
Author Responsibilities Reporting Standards Authors of original research articles should present an accurate and objective description of the work performed and its significance. Supporting data should be presented accurately to permit replication by other researchers. Falsification or misleading presentation of data constitutes a serious ethical violation.
Data Access and Retention Authors must provide the raw research data upon request by the editor for verification purposes.
